I'm seriously considering changing DA accounts!  I've had this one for years, and the name is very clearly one I picked when I was 14 ^^.  I think it may be time to upgrade to one a little less cliche (when people ask to see my art, I feel slightly silly giving them this address!).  I'll transfer over all of the art in my gallery that I still like, but probably not a lot of my old stuff.  I haven't drawn a neopet in 8 years, so I really don't need a gallery full of really bad drawings of them anymore.  I'll probably still leave everything in this one, at least for a while, so people don't have to change their favorites or anything (and can st

Finally finished my first year of vet school!  3 more to go :).  I'm loving it so far.  I've gotten to do some cool stuff (delivered some lambs, and watched a dolphin necropsy!) and met some awesome people (little known fact- vet school contains an impressive proportion of sci-fi geeks!).  Glad to have a break for the summer, although I'm working at the school preparing teaching material for next year, so I guess it's not really a break ^^;.  I'll try to get on the ball with some art over the summer, though! It's been a while since I've posted one of these, and since I'm in vet school now, I guess I'm about due (also, I'm studying for my animal welfare exam right now, so it's on my mind). This is something I've had a problem with for a very long time, and have probably posted about before, but since we covered it in class recently and I'm disgusted all over again, I'm going to re-state:  For the love of God, please do not buy puppies from pet stores.  When you walk into a petstore and see a wall of adorable puppies of all different breeds, please realize that they come from a puppy mill.  No matter what the store employees tell you, if you buy o
